Okay, so I admit that Oddo is pure sex. But...I still don't like him.

what i like about the deal is we have a Experienced Full back that has played in some big games.....

I don't know much about Oddo either, though anytime I hear his name, I think of Star Trek. Yes, I am a dork.

Anyway, as backups go, you can't ask for one better since right now, Reveillere is still the #1 RB. He might not be at the form that he had two years ago, but he brings CL winning experience, and at 32, a great deal of maturity as well. Lyon are such a young squad that there are only three players 30 and over at the moment - Juni, Grosso, and Cris. So Oddo would help balance that out.

Plus Lyon are banking on Clerc returning to form, hence the loan. At the end of the year, either Oddo returns to Italy or Reveillere leaves.

He hasn't played well at all this last season, and they are bringing in Zambrotta, plus they have some other options. Oddo was surplus. Anyway, he's at Bayern, who offered him more money. Lyon refused to budge on his salary, and that is that.

So we have until Monday at midnight to find another right back.

Bayern wanted him because they sold another under performing right back, Marcell Jansen, to Hamburg on Tuesday. Id rather we not have an unmotivated loan player as a backup for RB and give Gassama a chance to prove himself. We will have Clerc back and Rev is our go to guy anyways.
