Celtic defender Andreas Hinkel is back after three years of international wilderness for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. It comes in the wake of Torsten Frings fracturing his nose in a basket-ball game which his club Werder Bremen had organised as a promotional event. Ballack is a doubt with foot injury.

Now I wished I had watched the Old Firm derby on Saturday. The Scottish Premier League matches are shown on the pay-TV (apart from the Bundesliga ) here and just recently until Saturday, the pay-TV has been 'advertising' over the broadcast of the derby. I read that Hinkel was part of the Celtic squad which lost to Rangers.

It's a little, scary. I think it's earlier in the day I was like wondering out of the blue how Hinkel had been doing in Scotland lately and then, this news came about. Have to read almost half a dozen times to settle the news in. What does everyone else think of Andreas Hinkel back in the national team?
