As a starter topic, why not discuss which Azzurri player from the past 10 years is your favorite? Mine personally is Buffon. He's a tank and he's been superb, especially from Germany 06 onwards. Everytime I think of the Azzurri, a Buffon highlight reel starts playing in my head- the one handed block of Zidane's header in the WC final, stuffing Mutu's penalty in Euro 08...

Every time a highlight reel starts playing in mine its always Roberto Baggio rippling the back of the net. Il divino!

I agree with Julian. Buffon is all that is man. He is the key stone to the Italiano defense.

Baggio for me. All the way. Buffon has been world class however, I won't argue that at all.

Baggio. Pure class. Every time he touched the ball, it was like magic. What a pity for that day back in '94.

Love Gigi, but my favorite player of all time is Tacchinardi. For the Azzurri....tie between Baggio+Buffon

In the past 10 years there have been many great players but for me, it has to be Christian Vieri, he was unstoppable at times and pure muscle smashing open defences and blasting them in. Great player
