Rafael Nadal - I am also a Barça Fan

Until this day the No.1 ranked Tennis player Rafael Nadal has always been linked with being a Madridista Fan. However, today he claims through SPORT newspaper that he is also a big fan of Barça.

The confession took place in the opening of the new Nike store in the streets of Barcelona´s Paseo de Gracia. The event which most of the Barça players attended. Puyol, Iniesta, Márquez, Bojan, Piqué, Sergi Busquets, and also Pep Guardiola were seen at this opening.

Rafael Nadal´s confession happened when he was questioned about what he thinks of the Real Madrid crisis and the poor results they have been bringing:

"Look, let me tell you one thing. Recently, I have been heavily linked with Real Madrid.It is true they are having bad luck this season and their injury problems is only creating a worse situation, all this is happening while their main rival (FC Barcelona) is playing the best game in the world."

"However, I like football very much, and Barça are continuing every weekend without losing a single match. I admire the way Barça is playing, how they bear the pressure, how they play, their style, and, above all, they currently have the best football player in the planet that is Lionel Messi ... No other club is close to that level"

"Often I was in Madrid, and it is true that it is the club I feel most sympathy for, but I also confess that I feel a great admiration for FC Barcelona. I recall that I've sung their anthem many times during the season. In addition, my uncle has beeing playing for 8 years in the Barça instutition and that is something we can not forget. I was always treated like a star, I´ve spent much time here in Barcelona and yes, I also feel part of this great club.
