How about putting in your experiences of a trip to lo stadio? Useful tips for Roma fans and others that hope to visit ...

Tickets:
http://www.listicket.it- you will pull your hair out trying to get this site to work (in my experience) but it is possible to buy Tribune Tevere tix for circa 55EUR

The roma shops sell tickets (don't forget to bring your passport) - Piazza Colonna Roma shop has a ticket counter upstairs, you can find the shop here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piazza_Colonna on the south west side of the piazza.

Your hotel - ask your hotel to book you tickets - it worked for me, delivered on arrival with my name printed - slip them a few extra euro for the service.

Accom: Stay central and get the bus from Termini (central station) to the stadium. Good sites www.venere.com please add your own favourites and hotel reviews.

Flights: depends where you are flying from of course. Ryanair will drop you in Ciampino with a direct bus service (13euro return) to Termini which takes 40-45 mins depending on traffic. Intercontinental and other flights will arrive in Fiumicino which is over 20miles from Rome but there is a 50 minute(?) direct train service from there into Termini (11Euro one-way). correct me if i'm wrong.

Food: C'mon it's Italy, grab a panino outside the stadium with a beer for 6euro. please add your restaurant tips.

When I went I bought some very expensive tickets for teh derby that ended up being in the Lazio section, which sucked. I'm glad that no one cared that my wife and I moved to the Roma section. Then I bought tickets from a Roma shop which were only about 20 bucks each, not 200. Once you are in, no one cares where you sit, so buy the cheapest tickets you can. I don't think that the Stadio ever sells out, so you should be guaranteed a ticket even if you wait until the last minute. Get there early though because getting through the gates is a pain and look at your ticket to see which gate you should enter through.

Well, Pauly, methinks it's a good idea. We can do Roma- spamming here and general-football spamming on OFFTOPICS :D

OK, so I am going to Rome for the derby and want to go to Trigoria for pics and autographs. Any ideas on how to get there and what time I should be there?

I just got back from the derby. While I was there, I did go to Trigoria. The practices aren't open, but it is possible to watch. After practice the players drive out and sign autographs and take pictures. I saw almost everyone (except Totti, damn it), and Spaletti and Conti came out and took pictures and talked to everyone.

To get there you take the blue line (B) to EUR Firmi. Walk outside and look for the bus stop that has the number 077 on it, that is the bus you want. Take that bus all the way to the end of the line. The last stop is Dino Viola. You get dropped off right at the Trigoria training complex. Walk around back and wait and talk with the other fans. Schedules for training at Trigoria are listed on asroma.it under News> Il calendario di Trigoria.

The only thing is that the 077 bus only comes every hour and ten minutes. I never saw a schedule, so I had to rely on word of mouth as to when it was coming and I bummed a ride with a taxi driver and a Roma primavera player back to the metro stop once i decided to leave.

Hope that saves someone the grief of trying to track it down like I did.
