I say that's a load of crap. He might have trouble scoring for Newcastle, but he tends to score in an England shirt.

Definitely a strange choice to leave him out. Especially when there are only four strikers in the squad and one of them is Theo Walcott.

I'm all for getting Walcott some experience, but if we need a goal in Croatia (or even against Andorra... you never know) then I'd rather see Micky Owen coming off the bench than Theo.
