Liverpool v Man U.

Postby oshcrazi on September 9th, 2008, 11:20 pm

Just wanted to open up a thread on your thoughts on the upcoming match... we are down our two best players and I really see this as a way to get Keane in a spot where he is the go to guy. Other than that, its gonna be a tough one...

Keane up front on his own & 5 in the midfield ..
Alonso going forward & linking play ..
Macherano & Lucas behind him ..
Babel & Riera on the wings ..
the usual suspects at the back ..

it's going to be tough without Stevie & Fernando but we'll give it a good go ..

Don't be surprised if at least one of the two has a miraculous recovery and shows up.

I would piss my pants if Torres or Gerrard came back... I would love it, but realistically they have about a 2% chance of playing (2% being a joke)

I think that one of them most likely torres wil lbe back for saturday..and that would be amazing!!!

If Torres and Gerrarrd dont make it i think the team will be:

.Reina

.Arbeloa .SKrtel .Carrargher .Dossena

.Kuyt .Alonso .Mascherano .Riera

.Babel

.Keane

Its been way too long since us Liverpool supporters have enjoyed a win against United in the premier league

Like Gerrard has said that the team needs to have more balls moving forward and show United that we can beat them, we certainly do have the team to beat them we need to show character and heart when moving forward. This is our year to show al lthe teams especially United that we no Push overs and that we can perform against the big 4. Rafa is still looking for his first win against Fergie and this year should be his year. Not only will Liverpool be doing it for three points but it will mean so much to the fans, everybody playing for Liverpool as well as supporting Liverpool will have their pride restored , so cumon Boyz lets do it this saturday

Aren't Torres and Gerrard both "likely" - at least for the squad?

I doubt Gerrard will be suited for action but Torres might be on the bench... but unlikely
