Juve's kryptonite = smaller teams?

Postby HolyMann on October 1st, 2008, 2:46 am

Will the smaller teams cost Juve their hope for the championship along with the champions league? Yesterday I sat down believing that even though Juve were playing away, they would have a comfortable 2-0 win against BATE, apparently I was shocked. It was BATE’s second champions league game, not only did their first goals ever (in the champions league) go in against Juve, but also got a point against them.
My question, since Juve have tied 3 games in a row now, will the small teams cost us like they did last year.. Although Juve ended their year last year with the best record against the top 4 (a tie and a win against Roma, Milan, and Inter), they managed to finish 3rd with a reasonable gap between Roma and Inter, and this was due to the smaller teams efforts; such as Catania.
Any specific reason this is happening? will Juve continue this “tradition” of not playing well against the smaller teams or are they just warming this year?? Most importantly, will they be able to steal some points against the bigger teams??
and is Ranieri too scared to lose a game?? i like this coach, but i sometimes feel his substitutions and pointless, such as inserting Amauri in the 81st minute when, in my opinion whould of put him in at least in the 70th minute.

there u have it, 2-1 loss against napoli. Even though before the game i felt that we might end up losing this match, seeing the result in the end was disappointing. what's worse, ranieri (for the second time) has stated that he would have been satisfied with a draw!! how can a coach be satisfied with a draw after not winning a match for one month now?
Next game is the champions league match against Real, yet Juve go into the match with around 7 injured players....is there hope??
