it'll be fifa. 08 was ridiculously good. it seems like theyve tried to get too fancy with 09 making it more like the euro game. but with the online club team thing, the custom tactics, and maybe the live season thing theres no reason not to think that it'll be better than pro evo.

yeah agreed that the in-game options are going to be better on FIFA, but in terms of gamepley, PRO has always been the best...

I think EA got the point that they have to make a good game. So they're doing it.
I'm sick of the PES fanboys going on about gameplay. Game play is good for an hour, then you need something else, like the deep Manager Mode Fifa has and 20 leagues all licensed.
I've quit Fifa for PES and quit PES for Fifa so i truly believe my point of view is the right one.

Fifa FTW

since when has "gameplay" only been good for an hour? surely that's the essence of the game?!

I have both FIFA '08 and PES '08...

And I completely believe that if PES had the deep manager mode and the licensing of the FIFA games, I'd have the perfect game...

Game play is fantastic if online, head to head, play someone you don't know so you can brag in your sleep is your thing.
If you're competing for the FIWC then it's more about glitch gaming. Find what works and ram it down their throats.

Come, lets say April, I can't be expected to still enjoy a 4 league, watered down "Master League" Mode.
Konami's gameplay may be better but only slightly now a days. Fifa has, literally, everything else.

Konami can not possibly compete with EA in the States though. Last year's mid season release, no MLS, No EPL License didn't help them and won't this year despite having C.Ron on the cover. He's not even in a Man U jersey.

I've played the Fifa demo and even before that i already new i'd buy it. I'll check out PES but Fifa just offers more. Another thing is that PES has never been a pick up and play game. The shooting and passing was so sensitive that the average player was no match for someone who had been playing any of it's releases for more than a few months.

FIFA's for the kids who can't play real football for toffee but still get their mums to buy them all the flash kit.
